Golden Globes Bring the Best of TV and Movies together

Ricky Gervais opened the Golden Globe Awards with stabs at Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp and Scientology. Hilarious! He made a great shot toward Hugh Hefner and his teenage bride to be, playing on the 60 year age gap.

Tina Fey and Steve Carell were the best presenters of the night. Luckily, I was able to hold my bladder as they gave synopsis' of the nominees, hysterically. I about died when Carell said something in this fashion- a movie about a couple of lesbians and Fey corrected him by saying a lesbian couple. The two of them together were killer!!

Normally, half way through the show I would get bored and turn on Family Guy or some other entertaining show, but this year, my future wife, (yes, in my wildest dreams) Natalie Portman, is up for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture, Drama. So, sadly, I have to eagerly await till her category comes up. Oh, yea, and I'm keeping track of the winners for this blog :P

Tonight, we all thank the Hollywood Foreign Press for an amazing show. Ricky Gervais was hilarious, making fun of EVERYONE. No one was off limits and that made a Gervais such a great host.
So far, best award show because Natalie won and she made a shout out to her Grandma here in Cincinnati... that is friends with my Grandma!!

P.S. I apologize for not having an update on the Critic's Choice Awards. While the results can be found on  VH1, Natalie won for best actress!!
