  1. I'm not much of an award show buff, but I did watch part of one with you (VMA's??? ha), so I figured I'd hook you up with a comment. From the top down:
Fighter: unreal movie, plus I'm a closet Wahlberg fan
Franco: love this guy, and a movie I can identify with, just too bad he sucked in Spiderman, Flyboys is a great movie
Portman: I know she's your girl, and I just saw her on Top Chef
Bale: sick performance - in every possible meaning of the word
Kunis: didn't see it, just going with the underdog here
    Mad Men: great show
30 Rock: waaaaay better writing than The Office
    Laurie: still the best
Hargitay: anyone who beats up rapists wins in my book
    Baldwin: hilarious
Fey: can you tell I'm a 30 Rock fan?
Stewart: didn't see any of these, but a Star Trek fan
Ryder: same scenario as above, and hot
Inception: people falling everywhere, had to be great stunts
Burn Notice: best show nobody knows about

  3. Christian Bale deserves to win for Male Actor in a Supporting Role in Fighter. Bale was incredible in that movie. He's unbelievably dedicated to the roles he plays, even to the point of looking emaciated – give the man the statue!

  4. "The Fighter" and "Mad Men."

Just the fact they even MADE "The Fighter" makes me happy.

  5. I'll be 100% honest with you, I rarely watch any movies, but the one I saw this year was "The Social Network," and even though I don't have a Facebook account (I tweet!) I was thoroughly enthralled with the storyline from beginning to end.

I've heard great things from my boss and co-workers about the HBO show "Boardwalk Empire." And I'm not really a fan of "Glee," because it doesn't accurately portray choir work in schools (but what do I know, I went to a school with no girls?).

So take my opinions for what they're worth, but I liked "The Social Network."

  6. i'm with adam, not a big movie watcher but a good topic might be the do's and donts for celebs at awards shows i.e. speed up the speeches, don't wear something someone else is wearing, don't speak when hammered drunk...etc. i like knowing the dates of the shows too. i'll watch but i rarely know when they're going to be on.

  7. I'm torn between Social Network and Black Swan, both were great movies that I wouldn't mind seeing again.
